Dog breeds “The German hunting Terrier”

BRIEF HISTORICAL SUMMARY:
After the first world war, some active hunters broke away from the Club of Fox Terrier who was vastly superior in number, to create a breed that exclusively oriented skill in hunting. In this way, the quinólogos experienced in hunting Rudolf Friess, Walter Zangenberg and Carl Erich Grünewald resolved raise a hunting dog reddish black to do the work in burrows. His desires were fulfilled thanks to a chance. Lutz Heck/Hagenbeck Zoo director gave Walter Zangenberg four dogs suspected descendants, reddish black Terrier of pure breeds of Fox Terrier. These dogs began raising the Terrier German Hunter.

During this time Dr. Herbert Lackner met the founders of the breed. After intensive breeding efforts that lasted years, managed to establish their appearance through working crossing the old English original Terrier Welsh Terrier and wire-haired together. At the same time importance was given to the raising of a dog that had different abilities, that was strong for the sound hunting and liked the water, with an exceptional for hunting instinct and the best ability to be trained. The club of the “Deutscher Jagdterrier e V…” was founded in 1926.
