It refers to “standard” to the description of the ethnic characteristics of a breed of dog, therefore, each standard is a portrait type of race to which it refers.

The standards are compiled by various Nations cinofilas entities according to a fixed schedule, the tenor of the standards set by the Cynological World Congress of Monaco, held in 1934 by the international Cynological Federation (FCI), however it is rare between one country and another manifestation of a real uniformity, but we will try that in this report the standard is the adherent to the one suggested by the official cinofilia possible in the following order.

A breed standard

It is worth to clarify that not all standards agree on the description details, some describe the dog in detail; others in schematic form; that is the alternative approaches adopted by the entities responsible for the drafting and the successive revisions of these official documents.
